The Role We are looking for a software architect lead developer to work on the existing application which has been developed in C# (.NET 2.0) as well as developing a new version of the cutting edge application for new and existing customers.

The Company Founded in 1998, my client is a supplier of specialist hardware software and services to the retail sector. Their technology helps retailers to substantially increase sales by providing real-time feedback against targets for key performance indicators, including customer conversion rates, sales and productivity. They maximize the return on labour spend by aligning staff to customer traffic through their simple, intuitive staff scheduling tool. The company has many first rate high street customers including Clarks Shoes, River Island, Mexx, Liz Claiborne and Goldsmiths.

The Requirements Good DBA skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server 20052008, windows and web services plus windows and web forms in C# and ASP .NET and C++. You must have experience of designing scalable real-time ‘enterprise’ systems and preferably be up to speed with the latest MS technologies, especially .NET SQL Server ASP.NET WPF and Silverlight. Preference will be given to candidates with a solid C++ background. Enterprise project management experience would be of benefit. You will be able to demonstrate your experience through your employment history. Education: To degree level or equivalent experience. Technical Experience: C# .NET 3 years C++ 5 years Java 1-2 years SQL Server 5 years SOA 1-2 years ASP 1-2 years XML/XSLT 1-2 years Core Skills: • You will have a sound understanding of the required development languages. • You will be able to manage your own time to ensure delivery of projects within defined timescales. • You will have excellent communication skills. • You will be a team player and also able to work alone when required. • You will have a keen eye for quality and pay strict attention to detail. • You will have a flexible approach and be able to cope with several projects at any one time.
